GNA Scholarship

The Beacon Institute and the more than 300 Maryland and Washington DC senior care facilities that comprise Mid-Atlantic LifeSpan are committed to providing the highest quality skilled nursing, assisted living, retirement living and adult day care services available to residents and customers. 

The Beacon Institute, the entire LifeSpan Network and LifeSpan’s member facilities are also committed to ensuring that we do everything possible to nurture, support and cultivate the future success of our employees.  The Geriatric Nurses Assistant Scholarship Program is a commitment to the future of the staff members that ensure our success.

Sponsored by Morgan-Keller, Inc., the GNA Scholarship Program provides opportunities for Geriatric Nurses Assistants employed in senior care facilities to continue their education and training in any healthcare field they choose. A total of ten $750 scholarships will be awarded each year to successful applicants and paid directly to the college or university of their choice.

All GNAs who are employed in a LifeSpan Network member community or facility are eligible for the scholarship, following successful completion of at least six months of temporary or provisional employment and a good standing as an employee.
