Options for committee involvement with The Beacon Institute:

  1. Beacon Golf Tournament Planning Committee – meets 3-4 times a year.

    Main duties: determination of venue, expenses, recruitment of players and of sponsorships, program development/award determination, details surrounding the reception following the tournament, prizes for contests.

    Sub-committees often evolve within this group.

  2. Beacon Ball Planning Committee – meets 3-4 times a year.

    Main duties: determination of venue, theme, decorations, recruitment of attendees and sponsorships, details surrounding reception including food, music/entertainment.

    Sub-committees often evolve within this group.

  3. Annual Conference & Exposition Planning Committee – meets 3-4 times a year.

    Main duties: determination of theme, décor, giveaways, recruitment of sponsors, speakers for educational sessions and general sessions, social and networking activities planned; members expected to attend the conference and volunteer as moderators, help as needed.

    Sub-committees evolve within this group: decorating, marketing, education specifically for the conference programming.

  4. Education Committee – meets 3 times a year.

    Main duties: review education calendar for effective representation of member needs. Feedback mechanism for open discussion of topics.
